Estes Park Grub and Activity

So, you just had an adventure with one of our ATVs or Jeeps and wondering where to get some grub, don’t worry! This guide is here to help you cure the munchies post ATV/Jeep ride.

At Backbone Adventures we have some employee and fan favorite food spots which are all located primarily in the main Estes Park area. This will be divided into lunch, dinner and desert options with some honorable mentions for breakfast for those renting with us in the early mornings!

First stop LUNCH-

  • Notchtop Bakery and Café- A delicious lunch and casual stop for sandwiches, salads and some yummy breakfast food if that’s the vibe.

  • Penelopes Old Time Burgers- A fun hole in the wall historic place that’s great for a fun stop downtown Estes and is sure to have almost everything for anyone, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and more.

  • Chesters Philly’s- a casual and home cooked feel where it’s below the main drag and can have a quick and yummy bite after a crazy day on trail.

  • Boss Burgers and Gyros- true to name it is a delicious stop for all things handheld and is off the main downtown road, so you don’t need to worry much about beating parking. A must stop for your trip here.

Ready for DINNER?

  • Himalayan Curry and Kebob- one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in the mountains where all ingredients are fresh, and service is great. A wonderful place for mimosas and hanging out as well.

  • Smokin Daves BBQ and Brew- a wonderful and delicious place with great BBQ and ample selection of options besides. Hand made sauces and sides are plentiful with a beautiful view of the mountains too.

  • Antonios Pizza- a local price where pizza is always made fresh and is always busy with good reason. Amazing spot to grab some pizza and explore local history.

  • The Post Chicken and Beer- a restaurant nestled in the same lot as the historic Stanley Hotel where it has delicious meals and is great for an up-scale but fun atmosphere.

Desert and Breakfast/Other Honorable Mentions-

  • The Munchin House- one of the plentiful ice cream shops in Estes where the flavors are ample and candies are made fresh daily, with options for lactose sensitivity too.

  • Inkwell and Brew- a great boutique and wonderful teas and coffee brewed to order. A great place downtown with close parking and nice patio with river views.

  • The Egg of Estes- A great sit-down place with great breakfast options and is a wonderful place to start a great day with some yummy food.

  • Kind Coffee- This is a great place for those wanting a lighter breakfast, a delicious cup of joe, or just a refreshing drink in the afternoon. Located on the very edge of downtown they have amazing seating right on the riverwalk and games plentiful for the kiddos.

  • Squatchy Donuts- this hole in the wall has mini donuts of 30+ flavors made to order, and fresh coffee each morning. They are all themed in Bigfoot memorabilia with some amazing gift shop stuff for those outdoor enthusiasts.

With all these recommendations we hope that this gives some advice and helps narrow down the searches and confusion about the availabilities around Estes Park. What we hope is that you have a blast on trail and whip up an appetite or get in the mood to support some of our favorite local spots.
