Ebikes and Electric Mountain Bike Rentals in Estes Park

In 2020 my wife and I stayed in Grand Lake for a few days. We just needed to get out of the cabin, away from the business in Estes Park, and spend some time together.

A guy at the hotel we stayed at had a few electric mountain bikes for rent. They weren't very good quality, but we decided to try it anyway. I'd never been on an electric bike. Personally, I thought it was going to be boring. I'm a dirt bike rider, so naturally I wasn't too excited.

30 minutes into the ride and I was SOLD. We had a great time and we hardly got off the paved roads. It was just so fun and relaxing cruising around town and back roads. Being in the off-road business with exhilarating Razors and big ole lifted Jeeps, I was a little nervous about offering tame experiences like scooters and ebikes. I was so wrong. This was a different kind of fun that I even do in my personal life now.

The one thing I didn't like were the corny helmets. I promised myself if I got into the ebike business, I would have cooler helmets.

Rather than start off with cheap bikes like so many companies do, I decided to do it the right way and go for quality. I did a lot of research. I rode Trek bikes, Giant, Specialized, and a few others. I ended up going with the Aventon folding bike for cruising around town and light off-road riding, and the Luna X1 Enduro bikes for the same or downhill MTB riding. Check out the Ebike Rentals. We may get into the new Husqvarna Electric mountain bikes in the summer of 2021. We are waiting for them to come out.

Don't think you're too tough or cool to ride an ebike like I thought at one time. Come try it out. I think you're gonna love it.

These things are a great time. Hope you get to experience it with us: Backbone Adventures
